Metalcore Rockers, The Plot In You, stopped in Detroit for another round of screaming fans and heavy guitar riffs as they joined Sum 41 at The Fillmore in Detroit. Playing tracks that got the crowd going such as “The One You Loved”, “One Last Time”, “My Old Ways” and “Not Just Breathing”, The Plot In You once again proved that they are in their groove while spilling a mixture of intricate lyricism and an electric stage presence into a memorable show.

North Carolina Indie Rockers, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, brought their multidimensional stage show that is accompanied by their otherworldly and loving presence to The Fillmore in Detroit on Wednesday night for a well-received show. Packing the house from front to back, the guys played all of their hits including “Cold Love”, “Shameful Company”, “Seven” and “Devil Like Me”, leaving concertgoers swooning over their eccentric vibes.

College Park Rap Legend in the making, 2 Chainz, brought the fire to Detroit along with a string of hits that got the crowd fueled up and ready for a night of memories. Playing platinum hits such as “No Lie” and “Mercy”, 2 Chainz’s energy was everything that the High Times Cannabis Cup attendees desired as they lit up their smoke in honor of 2 Chainz lyrical domination.

Chicago Musicians, Umphrey’s McGee, brought the Umph Love and soul to Detroit for two sold-out nights of transcendent music that left concertgoers feeling as though they encountered an enlightening experience beyond the music. Playing hits trekking back decades, Umphrey’s McGee music is a spectical in itself beyond the glory and glow of the lights that naturally comes along with every one of their shows.

New Orleans Musical Group, Tank and the Bangas, brought their ‘Green Balloon’ Tour to Detroit and it was a delight for all to observe such an idiosyncratic bunch of musicians come together for the sole purpose of sharing their love of music. Touring the globe and finding success throughout emitting their own version of Funk and Jazz, Tank and the Bangas is a group that is bound to last.

Hip-Hop Legends, Wu-Tang Clan, stormed through Detroit and brought the heat to the first 313 High Times Cannabis Cup held at the Russell Industrial Center. Stemming from New York and providing a legacy of Hip-Hop that cuts down to the bone and reaches into the soul, Wu-Tang Clan have imprinted their Hip-Hop roots into fans both young and old and continue to attract new listeners everywhere they go.

Detroit Artist and Philanthropist, Big Sean, has been continuing to awaken his calling as he has unveiled the Sean Anderson Foundation Production Studio in his hometown of Detroit. Expanding his efforts across the city along with his worldly-wise team, Big Sean continues to plant his knowledge, expertise and compassion into a variety of projects and tools that aid in the burgeoning of Detroit both philanthropically and creatively. Serving Metro Detroit with spaces, tools and knowledge that will aid in expansion, Big Sean’s leadership and care for the wellbeing of his hometown community is palpable and rooted in sincerity.
Creating a center for psychological, mental and emotional wellbeing, Big Sean and the Sean Anderson Foundation have partnered with The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan to provide a space for children and teenagers to take action steps toward leading the life of their dreams in the future. Through a variety of spaces that include world-class technology, Big Sean and partners have created a remarkable space of opportunity for the west side of Detroit and beyond. Beaming with pride from the inside, the Sean Anderson Foundation and D.O.N. Weekend turned out to be nothing short of a total win for all.

Australia Alternative Pop Band, Chase Atlantic, packed a punch of love, romanticism and fun during their stop at St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit. The idiosyncratic group of musicians mesh a moody soundscape with their potent and tranquil instrumental content that pours forward naturally with passion.
Invigorating the synergy between the band and the crowd, the guys played tracks including “WHAT U CALL THAT”, “LOVE IS (NOT) EASY” and “HER” while fans in the front row and beyond soared to another world in mind alongside them. Being able to face the world of the music industry with a unique look and vulnerable lyrical touch subliminally speaks of the amount of talent and heart that Chase Atlantic brings to the table and how well received their music has grown to be.
As Mitchel, Christian and Clinton are in the midst of continuing to bring to life a global crowd, the guys of Chase Atlantic emits a musical power and prowess that is serene, otherworldly, and sincere.
